We cooked this lovely apple pie at the weekend using fresh apples from our neighbours garden.
5oz Golden Caster Sugar
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
2 tsp Corn Flour
600g Bramley Coking apples – Cored and sliced
400g Plain Flour
2 tbsp Golden Caster Sugar
1 Lemon zest
1 Large egg beaten with 2 tbsp cold water
1 egg to glaze
Keep 1/3 of the pastry for the pie lid
Cook at 180C/200C for 45 - 60 mins until browned to your taste.
